“The Disaster Artist” First Teaser
For those of you that are not acquainted with the back story of this film, “The Disaster Artist” is based on the making of a modern cult classic “The Room” which has notoriety for being the “Citizen Kane” of bad movies.
Directed by, produced by, written by and starring James Franco and including his usual entourage of high profile friends like Seth Rogan, Judd Apatow and brother Dave Franco, we look at the man behind the movie Tommy Wiseau and all the supporting characters.
This teaser offers a nice introduction to Wiseau played by James Franco who was the director, producer, writer and star of “The Room”.
The cult classic is watched as a phenomenon of appreciating a film for all the wrong reasons and has grown as a crowd pleasing interactive experience akin to “The Rocky Horror Picture Show” but without direction, story plot or acting skills so the film’s almost a salute to audacity and blind-dumb-luck.
But by the look of this first look, “The Disaster Artist” could be funny for all the right reasons.
